We focus on human scale farming and hand tools to grow nutritious and delicious produce for our local community using growing techniques to build soil and farm health. In 2023/24 our crops will be sold through the Albury Wodonga farmers markets and through a CSA farm box. RADgrowers is slowly becoming a community hub with several educational opportunities and events planned for the new year.
Farming is what we love, sharing and caring is what we do best! Our farming practices aim to maximize photosynthesis, increase the soil organic matter, sequester carbon, and nurture the community. We utilise regenerative farming practices such as cover crops, mulching, intercropping, ramial wood-chip pathways, no-till practices, and pollinator hedgerows. We’re always trialing and experimenting with new techniques to foster soil health.
We have 9 years of market farming experience and while we are always striving to learn more ourselves we love to share our successes & failures.
We are seeking hard working, self-motivated, and good-humored individuals to join our farm! 14 (part time) - 40 (full time) hours/week.
Must be reliable, professional and dedicated to the full farming season.
Responsibilities also involve field tasks including but not limited to: mulching, trellising, weeding, seeding, marketing at farmers market, washing, packing & bagging produce, record keeping, assisting with farm events, and more.
Although always overwhelmingly beautiful, the tasks are often strenuous and repetitive, so we aim to build a team that works cohesively to maintain a positive and enjoyable working environment.
The farm is located 10 mins west of Albury CBD with hot, & dry summers + cold & wet winters, you must be able to work in any weather.
We value open, honest communication and a true passion for feeding the community.
All jobs entail working with a crew at times but you must be independently motivated as well.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior farm experience is preferred. Our intention is to support and nurture your understanding, skills, and appreciation for local, regenerative agriculture, with opportunities to continue to grow with our farm. Must enjoy hard work, a fast pace, good conversation, and vegetables(!). We are looking for those who are serious and passionate about farming. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is ready to take on the challenge, responsibility and gratification of farming.

~ Applicants should be able to work hard and efficiently in all weather.
~ Comfortably lift 20kgs.
~ Enjoy repetitive tasks.
EXPECTATIONS:
~ Workdays are typically Monday-Friday(or as described in job description) 8 hours/day in peak season, but shorter in the shoulder seasons. Occasional work Farmers Markets on Saturday, CSA pickups on Monday arvs and potential farm events. We start as early as 7am and adjust with the seasons, hours for part-time jobs vary.
